Biography

E’ nato a Firenze nel 1922. Ha trascorso l’infanzia a Gallipoli, città natale del padre, pittore di scuola napoletana, iniziando a disegnare sotto il suo insegnamento.
Dopo aver sperimentato diverse espressioni pittoriche e grafiche si è orientato verso quella a lui più congeniale, il Surrealismo.
Numerose le sue partecipazioni a mostre in Italia e all’estero (Europa e USA).
Ha realizzato alcune opere pubbliche a Firenze:
“Il Battesimo di S. Giovanni Battista” (m. 3,20x2,05) nella Chiesa di S. Maria de’ Ricci in via del Corso e “L’incontro di Dante con Beatrice” (m. 2,50x1,40) nella Chiesa di Dante in via del Corso. Ha dipinto il Palio di S. Giovanni nel 1986.
E' scomparso a Firenze il 1° marzo 2004.
