Biography
Albert Genz Xhelili’s ability in all mediums of art makes him a complete
contemporary artist and his life journey makes him one you would have to
call an iconoclast.
Albert’s natural talent was recognized in childhood and by the time he was
nine years old, Albert was competing and winning top international
awards for sculpture and for self-portrait.
Albert has attended diverse art academies and universities including: the
Kunz Academy of Kalsrtruche, Germny; Academy of Arts St. Petersburg,
Russia; Academy of Arts of Florence, Italy; and the University of Studies
of Florence for architecture.
After completing this time in various art academies, Albert’s interests
took him into business world of international import export. His success in
business revealed a deeper calling and Albert found himself devoted to a
more spiritual life, renouncing the world, to serve as a monastic.
Albert’s art continued, after leaving monastic life, participating
anonymously, with the aim to help create a contemporary art form, that
doesn’t renounce it’s classical roots.
Albert uses his love of the natural world to inspire his unique art forms.
Albert lives and works as an artist traveling between the United States and
Italy.
